Since yesterday was my birthday/day off I dressed up at steampunk. ( Other reason being I brought so much to wear that I didn't just have enough to make one outfit for the costume dance I had enough for multiple days of playing dress up!)

I bought the boxset of Doctor Who Series One. It was hideously expensive but brings me great joy. What would bring me even greater joy would be lots of kids that aren't my girls showing up for my event. It's going to be big and projected up on a wall with excellent speakers. What else did I do on my day off? Well, nothing really, and I should have gone to Kroger because I am woefully lacking in foodage.  My girls and me watched Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways and I think I heard sniffles. 
I made little girls cry - yay!

I bribed Sally and Claire this week.
A blue brainbuck apiece and they named thier laptop Horatio for me.
I buy my pleasures so cheaply.
But this will be a constant little infusion of fannish joy for me whenever I enter thier room.

Moffat?  I Love you. 
Not because of Blink, I haven't seen that one yet, because I had six girls in my common room literaly hiding behind the sofa and covering thier eyes at bits from The Empty Child. Scaring my twelve year-olds brings me such joy, Is that wrong?

I am made of so much awesomeness - I've converted my entire suite to Doctor Who. First I showed four of my girls Smith & Jones, then I showed them half of Tooth and Claw but then it was their lights out and the next day was my day off. I've started to teach Room D how to knit and room A wants to learn as well!
It's a bit hellish to try and teach them - I know how to do things but cannot show how!
It warms my heart a great deal - but that might just be early-onset heartburn from the stress. 
I swear, if they get loud and hyper on me one more time I'm writing them all tickets.
